The First Session

Escape the bustling city for an hour and enjoy Gramercy’s soothing teas.

Prior to the first session, Dr. Llerena will contact you to set up a brief call to obtain information about what you’re hoping to accomplish in therapy and to determine whether you should proceed to schedule a first session. The first session will focus on determining your goals for therapy and reviewing Gramercy’s policies, procedures, and consent form.

Subsequent Sessions

Depending on your needs, Dr. Llerena may conduct clinical assessments and/or she may ask you to complete forms before the start of each session to track your goals, progress, and symptoms. Therapy is tailored to fit your needs and will likely include the exploration of ways in which your thoughts, emotions, and actions contribute to problems – and on how you can address these problems by thinking or acting a little differently. Therapy is hard work and may involve completing activities (#activate) and experiential exercises.
